A policeman assigned with the Talamban police station was dismissed from service after a civilian filed a complaint against him before the People Law Enfrocement Board accusing him of shooting the front door of his McArthur-type jeep last year.
Novir Tudtud, a resident of barangay Urgello, Cebu City filed the complaint against PO1 Bienvenido Arlan, who was previously assigned at the Punta Princesa police station. It was reported that Arlan shot Tudtud's jeep after Tudtud's wife complained to her husband alleging that the cop touched her buttocks while she passed by Arlan who was drinking with friends. The policeman failed to produce a witness to support his denial of the accusation.
The enforcement board originally recommended a demotion of rank, but since Arlan was just a PO1, it instead dismissed him from service.
