A mother and her daughter landed in the hospital after sustaining injuries in various parts of their bodies during a landslide in barangay Capitol Site yesterday morning.
Nancy Muñez and her four-year-old daughter Jeanacine had just finished taking a bath past 5 a.m. inside their house in Ponce Compound when the perimeter fence fell on them after its foundation gave in due to massive rains.
The victims have been residing in the area for less than a year along with the child's father, Jimmy Macapaz, who is a welder.
PO1 Manfred Maarat, who talked to the victims at the Cebu City Medical Center, said Muñez sustained injuries in her back and left foot while Jeanacine injured her arms and has bruises near the buttocks.
But both victims are now in stable condition although they underwent X-ray examination yesterday morning to determine the extent of their injuries.
