“Sangka sa Kaha”

The Freeman

A cookout event that features traditional dishes of the different towns of Cebu Province is happening on June 15 at Baluarte Park in Aloguinsan, on the province’s south. Seven contenders compete with their own versions of Aloguinsan’s specialty dish – the “Tinubaang Tinonuang Kinsan Sa Aloguinsan.”

The contest, dubbed “Sangka sa Kaha,” is a project of Cebu Parklane International Hotel for many years now. The winning dishes of the annual “Sangka Sa Kaha” event are then included in the menu of the hotel’s Kan-anan Restaurant, a specialty restaurant specializing in authentic Cebuano dishes, located at the 4th floor.

“Sangka Sa Kaha” has already produced authentic Cebuano dishes on its menu such as “Humba sa Ronda,” “Torta de Argao,” “Takyong Sa Borbon,” “Podrida Sa Oslob,” “Bisayang Manok Sa Dumanjug,” and “Adubaw nga Nokus Sa Sibonga.”

Cebu Parklane International Hotel is located at the corner of Archbishop Reyes Avenue and Escario Street, an area renowned for its vibrance and cosmopolitan charm. Just a few minutes away from Mactan International Airport, this luxurious property is ideal for business travelers, who need a hotel with easy access to the business and financial centers of Cebu City and main tourist attractions. The website is at http://www.parklanehotel.com.ph.
