Another Branch, Same Trattoria

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Since the opening of its first branch at the Design Center of Cebu along AS Foruna St. in 2011, The Aabaca Group’s Tavolata has been welcoming to anyone on the lookout for quality Italian food.

The brainchild of chef-proprietor Jason Hyatt, the Italian resto recently had the opening of its second branch at the 4th level of the Expansion Wing of the Ayala Center Cebu.

Maintaining the traditional Italian trattoria (restaurant) motif that put the first Tavolata on the map, the new branch takes pride in its selection of homemade pastas, handcrafted pizzas, delectably rich salads and more.

It also prides itself in its local-first approach in sourcing the ingredients for its offerings – a quality which sets a contemporary dining tone in its take on traditional Italian fare.

With the freshness that’s inherent in Mediterranean cuisine, the new branch of Tavolata (Italian word for “gathering around a table”) is a welcome addition to the short line of Italian trattorias in town. (YRST)
