Housecleaning Tools

CEBU, Philippines - To ensure that housecleaning goes speedy and smooth, it pays to be prepared with the tools to use.  A trusty cleaning kit should be ready before the task is started. A portable nappy bucket is a great container for most of the items to be used. It is important to make sure to restock it regularly.

The housecleaning kit should include:

Dust cloths. These are for wiping down surfaces like bedside lockers. It's best to dampen the dust cloth down before using and then squeeze it out tightly right before use.

Rubbish bags. Once the cleaning process starts, it can be surprising how much rubbish is collected along the way. A rubbish bag at hand saves trips back and forth to the rubbish bin. It's a great time saver when cleaning.

Cleaning sprays. Store-bought or homemade cleaning sprays may be used depending on one's preference.

Squeegee. This is a great item for wiping down the shower area.

Gloves. Protecting the hands is really important. There is possibility for the hands to be subjected to cleaning chemicals. In addition, hot water can really dehydrate them. In dealing with some potentially grotty surfaces, dirt particles often stick to bare hands, which go straight to other activities - like cuddling the kids or preparing food - proper hand-washing omitted.  Gloves are the best defense.
