A Feast to Welcome the Year of the Monkey

CEBU, Philippines - A grand welcome for the Year of the Monkey is being set at the World Luxury Hotel Award 2015 country winner for Luxury Beach Resort Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. A sumptuous food event is to take place in two of the resort's outlets - Saffron Café and Azure Beach Club. The traditional live lion and dragon dance will go around the resort. To ward off negative vibes and attract positivity in the coming year are big blasts of firecrackers.

The Crimson Mactan's creative culinary team, headed by Executive Chef Joachim Felber, is taking the lead in delivering auspicious Chinese delicacies and staples on February 8, on top of the wide array of international specialties at Saffron Café.

For an exciting beachside dining experience, Azure Beach Club showcases a modern Asian twist to the Oriental flavors of China, in addition to the regular ala carte menu. Azure's Steamed Chicken with Azure XO sauce and green tea noodles, Steamed Iberico Ribs with black beans donburi, and Steamed Hainanese salmon center-cut donburi are some of the dishes highlighted during the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Guests at both Saffron Café and Azure Beach Club are to be served Yee Sang salad for the traditional tossing. This is believed to bring abundance, vigor and prosperity. They also learn about their luck as they break fortune cookies that are available in abundance during the celebration.
