Sad news for anyone hoping to re-create the US First Lady’s sunny delight of a look on January 12: The marigold Narciso Rodriguez dress Michelle Obama wore to the State of the Union is already sold out.
The current-season, $2,095 dress was on sale for $628 atNeimanMarcus.com, according to Fashionista.com, but sold out before the president’s speech was finished.
It was the president’s final State of the Union address, and wife Michelle marked the occasion with the same designer she made her entrance in: She wore Narciso Rodriguez on 2008 election night, as well as to his first State of the Union in 2009.
Rodriguez tells Elle.com: ”I felt tremendously honored and proud to see the First Lady looking so beautiful and radiant at the State of the Union address last night.” (www.elle.com)
