An Oasis is Launched

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S Ynclino - The Freeman

Premier homegrown property developer AboitizLand, Inc. launched on October 23 its Amoa, a mid-end mixed-type residential village in Compostela, Cebu.

Amoa stands out as a well-thought out Cebuano development with more amenities than any other in its category. It also distinguishes itself as a value-laden proposition - high quality and affordability minus the prohibitive price tag.

The name itself is a salute to the indomitable Cebuano spirit. "Amo-a" is a Visayan word equivalent to the English "ours." The word evokes a strong sense of ownership and belonging to a nurturing, assuring and enduring community. There's a lot more in Amoa to love, discover and enjoy.

The 60-hectare horizontal-type development is made up of rolling terrain and vast flat areas. AboitizLand has allocated 46 percent of the community to open spaces, allowing more and healthier outdoor activities. The open spaces, which include wide vistas of the hills, pocket parks and a central park where the key amenities are located, are seamlessly interconnected to inspire walking, hiking, jogging and bicycling.

The community will have an open-style clubhouse, a 188-square meter lap pool, 220-square- meter kiddie pool, an adult pool, play area and play courts. The grand lawn by itself is a whopping 1,420 square meters, more than enough to allow unbounded frolicking by children and adults alike.

A stylish entrance plaza provides commercial and entertainment selections with al fresco dining. Apart from a commercial area, the plaza will have a transit hub with well-designed queuing bays for orderly boarding and alighting on public transportation.

All the residential units are designed to bring in the cool, tropical breeze and allow natural lighting. Taking after the design of the colonial "balay nga bato," Amoa homes are fitted with ventanillas (window and wall grills) that allow for even more natural ventilation; as there are six ventanilla designs to choose from, there is a pattern that fits every family's distinct character.

Sanremo Oasis in City di Mare had its opening last November 14 with the popular Cebuano dream advocate actor Richard "Sir Chief" Yap as the honored guest who cut the ribbon assisted by Senior Manager for Project Development Julie R. Castanos, VP for Corporate Marketing Bernadette M. Ramos, and SVP for Visayas-Mindanao Tristan Las Marias. Also present was PR Manager Carla Cainoy, and PR Consultant for Visayas Cerwin Eviota.

Sanremo is named after a scenic Italian resort town. It offers nine stylish condo buildings with two car park buildings set in a low-density commune. With 65 percent of the grounds dedicated to landscaped greens, open areas and resort style amenities, it perfectly creates a year-round holiday atmosphere for the whole family. Sanremo Oasis is located within the vibrant City di Mare, where residents can have the glimpse of the sea and surrounding mountains right from their balcony.
