Alba's inimitable mark
CEBU, Philippines - A marquee fashion presentation that was held on September 18 served as one of the highlights of the inaugural holding of the Financial Executives Institute of Cebu, Inc. (FINEX CEBU) Week, which ran from Sept 12 to 19.
The fashion presentation - which was held at the Cebu City Marriot Hotel - showcased the creations of Cebuano couturier Edwin Alba, whose take on casual and eveningwear ensembles noticeably impressed the guests.
Top-billed by fineries that were tailored from light and flowy fabrics, cinched-at-the-waist cuts were a dominant motif of the collection.
Pieces that bore allusions to caftan-cardigan fusions - along with dresses that were stitched with hemmed-to-the-waist slits - gave the collection a sensually alluring flair, resounding Alba's sequence on aggregated high style. (FREEMAN)
