Style Origin's "The Fashion Walk"

CEBU, Philippines - Fashion shows have long functioned as an avenue for designers to showcase their works. During this year's Style Origin at Ayala Center Cebu, a novel fashion event took place that went beyond the usual presentation in such occasions.

Billed "The Fashion Walk," the event was an 'up-close-and-personal' take on fashion shows, with behind-the-scenes peek at the actual process involved in a fashion photo shoot.

On July 15, The Gallery and various paseos of the mall served as the photo studio and runway for the models of the Cebu-based AD Models Homme et Femme wearing pieces from the "Aliaz" ready-to-wear collection of designer Dexter Alazas, head pieces by Monch Ceballos, and accessories by NIMA.

Dressed in nomcore casuals and eveningwears, "The Fashion Walk" models sashayed through different parts of the mall - in characteristic model walk and poise. They later converged at The Gallery, where they had solo and group photo shoot sessions with photographer Jan Gonzales. Onlookers got to witness the working relationship between photographer and model that results in really chic photos.

Style Origin's "The Fashion Walk" has, for sure, sparked a novel approach for fashion events in Cebu - simple yet interesting. (FREEMAN)
