Oath-taking of the New Officers

The Cebu Association of Media Practitioners (CAMP), Inc. had their induction of new set of officers a full moon ago at the PAGCOR Casino Pilipino in Parkmall.

The newly inducted officers were: Jun Arigo as President, Wen Celen as Executive Vice President, Richard Alfajora as Secretary, Loy Jurado as Auditor, Atty. Russel Pernites and Atty. Paul Gino Lopez as the legal advisers, Cris Ligan as Vice President TV, Anthony Gale Valenzuela as VP Print. The inducted Board of Directors were: Dr. Paulus Mariae Cañete, Cebu Board Member Gigi Sanchez, George dela Pena, Remy Ando, Ver Oreg, Gregg Rubio, Pepe Sollano and Tantan Sabalones. City Fiscal Napoleon Alburo, City Fiscal of Naga City, officiated the induction.

The guest speaker was no less than the former lawyer of whistleblower Benhur Luy, Atty. Levi Baligod. Prominent politicians like Cebu South Congressman Bebot Abellanosa, former Congressman Jun Alcover, who is also a past President of CAMP and Provincial Board Member Gigi Sanchez were in attendance.

Entertainments were provided by Ate Ging of CCTN's TV Show "As Time Goes By" who sang several nostalgia songs. Boyet Lim, a famous vocalist, also sang several oldies but goodies, and a live combo with two lady vocalists also entertained the audience.

The highlight of the affair was the fund-raising for the Scholarship Project of CAMP where poor and deserving students can avail of the benefits.
