CEBU, Philippines - Last September 20 and 21, Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu had a lovely treat for all the brides-to-be, as well as wedding planners and wedding enthusiasts helping their loved ones plan for their big day.

"Weddings at the Blu: A Bridal Fair," kept its promise to make every bride's dream come true by offering a wide array of options in an exhibit of over 30 top wedding planners such as Stanz Catalan, Snoogie Weddings and Events, and Bliss Unlimited. Premiere wedding suppliers such as invitation supplier CDI invitations, video company Digital Minds, shoe designer Shandar, and event stylists Pink Flora and Simple Wishes were among the many exhibitors at the Santa Maria Grand Ballroom.

Over 200 guests were treated to a lavish spread of Eastern and Western cuisine during the opening brunch at the lobby on September 20. There was an abundance of satisfied brides-to-be as they gained new wedding day ideas from the many exhibitors and conveniently checked off items from their to-do lists.

One of the highlights of the two-day event was the wedding gown exhibit, where elegant gowns worn by brides who had their weddings at Radisson Blu were on full display. New packages that included perks like waived corkage, complimentary use of the hotel's 22-seater coaster, upgraded table centerpieces, a signature gift from Radisson Blu, and a complimentary 2-night stay in the Bridal Suite, which no other hotel is offering, were announced as well.

Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu General Manager Nishan Silva took to the stage and very proudly introduced their accomplished F&B team who carefully prepared the brunch during the opening two-day bridal fair: French-Canadian Executive Chef Frederic Cyr, Executive Pastry Chef Allan Barrios, and Chinese Master Chef Peter Yeung, who specializes in special lauriats. Radisson Blu brides-to-be who were present at the fair were thrilled to have tasted a glimpse of what they could possibly enjoy in their own wedding receptions.

To top it all off, joy filled the air as several couples who made on-the-spot booking received a romantic 3-night stay in any of the Radisson Blu hotels in Thailand, inclusive of airfare and accommodations.

With "Weddings at the Blu: A Bridal Fair," the weekend proved to belong to Radisson Blu as they presented the grandest bridal fair in town yet. (FREEMAN)
