"Feng Shui Detective"

There is a pocketbook by this title, a very interesting read for any feng shui aficionado. How in Asia are some crimes solved through the use of feng shui consultants, erstwhile as detective!

Ala Pink Panther? By all natural means.

Last week, a very good gentleman friend, Mr. Hiroshi Iwasaki, general manager of Friendship Tours and Travel (a leading Japanese travel agency based at Dusit Hotel, Makati City and the major Japan Embassy-accredited conduit for issuing Japanese visas) was shot dead by a riding in tandem group on his way home whereby a 45 caliber with silencer was used according to accounts.

A bullet pierced through his left chin exiting through his right chin, killing Hiroshi san on the spot.

He was born in the year of the Horse, died this year, also a Horse year. In feng shui, if you are of the same sign of the zodiac year, it is a very unlucky year as it cancels luck, even life. According to his assistant, he was well aware of this as his sensei in Japan had forewarned him.

Likewise Hiroshi san was 59 in his Asian lunar age. A reckoning period in feng shui having completed a 9 year lifecycle, meaning one can die the year he has a 9 ending in his age.

By serendipity, his closest assistant also related that almost a month ago, with the growing volume of Japanese visa business, their office extended to an additional room adjacent to their original Dusit Hotel office. Feng shui hindsight reveals that the new office (still being completed at this point) had a very bad main door for Hiroshi san as general manager. In relation to his personal feng shui, it was an omen of a death door.

These three feng shui detections altogether comprise what could be a feng shui autopsy finding conclusive of probable cause of death in a feng shui context! But the worst is yet to be detected! Post-mortem discussion with descendants after cremation revealed an appalling lead.

The prime suspect as mastermind, even possibly the triggerwoman, is one who had a not so happy history of bad debt both along the business of ticketing with Hiroshi san's travel agency and personally with the Iwasaki couple. Apparently as related, the suspect, within a week before the crime, roughly cased or socially investigated Hiroshi san's family household members - from the maid and the drivers to his wife and children, gathering data on which cars he was using and jotting down even the plate numbers. Even gifting his wife with a special PNP car plate perhaps to camouflage dastardly intentions.

A few days before the crime, the suspect asked Hiroshi's wife for help in finding a boarding house in their community for three supposedly on-the-job trainees from Davao, the suspect's base province. Hiroshi's wife referred her to a broker friend who was able to help.

(Hindsight points to this being the hit team imported to carry out the crime!)

On the day of the crime, the suspect even attended a home-based Japanese cooking class of Hiroshi's wife at BF Homes Paranaque City (hindsight leads to predicating a perfect crime alibi by suspect). But surprisingly during those hours suspect was calling Hiroshi's office, asking the driver to check if Hiroshi had left the office and what car he was using!

Worst of all, in the aftermath of the crime, during the frantic panic moments of vainly searching for Hiroshi as he was not home on time, his wife's intuitive instinct was glaringly surprising: she vainly called the suspect, first calls to a telco line were deliberately hanged up, a last attempt on another telco line finally was answered. And surprise of all surprises, the wife frantically begged the suspect to please return her husband (expressing her woman's instinct and intuition all along of positively feeling that the suspect had done harm to her husband). What was more surprising was the suspect's reply which was way off the normal response of a normally surprised friend. Apparently the reply, if analyzed, bespeaks of indirectly acknowledging what the wife felt all along!

During the funeral services, suspect's behavior was perfectly Judas-like, even attending the wake and burial until cremation! (One can truly shake his or head in disgust!) Worst, after the burial, suspect was apparently trying hard to be close to the widow fishing for leads from close friends on what is happening and wanting to go to Hiroshi san's family home!

And the ultimate feng shui detection: suspect birthday was year of the Rat. With Hiroshi san as Horse, his nemesis is Rat!

All told from feng shui viewpoint, this case is quite a revelation. The only reality problem, suspect is still on the loose and serves as a clear and present danger not only to the Iwasaki family but to Philippine and Japanese society at large!

It is imperative now for Philippine law enforcement agencies and the justice system to perform their roles in giving justice to Hiroshi san and his loved ones. Does crime pay? The answer is in their hands; it is beyond feng shui detection. May justice be fully served with dispatch to a great good yet simple man... a good father, businessman, friend and one of the few good men I have ever met. Again please pray for the repose of the soul of Hiroshi san and that peace and justice be done to him and his loved ones, so that he may eternally rest in peace.
