CEBU, Philippines - Other well-known gown designers participating in tomorrow's "Of Veils and Trails" at Shangri-la are

Cary Santiago

Cary Santiago is considered to be today's master couturier in the country. Cary has been inspired by birds. These feathered friends have served as design inspirations and symbolism: freedom, voyage, loftiness and grace, among a vast number of things. "I've always had a fascination with winged creatures-especially the Philippine Eagle, and birds of prey," says the master.

Jun Escario

Jun Escario's creations range from flimsy chiffon to solid tweeds. However, in this design, he had the chic and easy concept in mind. This is "Neoprene and soft tulle wedding gown with a deep V neckline."

This nationally known Cebu-based designer is a master when it comes to making the perfect style statement. He has made his mark in the fashion scene and fashionistas like actress Ruffa Gutierrez and party page fixture Mai Kaufman head over to his Manila atelier for their sartorial fixes. "I want to make dresses my clients will feel good in. I want to make dresses for real women - not just people with model figures," Jun says. (FREEMAN)
