The RUNAWAY for HOPE Charity Gala event

CEBU, Philippines - It all started as a School Project last year of former Bb Pilipinas World Czarina Gatbonton and Bb Pilipinas International Dianne Necio for their Communications and Business Entrepreneurship courses at Entrepreneurship School of Asia (ESA) whose aim is to mount an event to raise funds for charity. With the help of Beauty Queen -Maker and Stage and Events Director Mr. John de la Vega, Pageant Mentors Mr. Francis Calubaquib, Jojo Mangalino and Julius Ornum, "Runway for Hope" was conceived. It eventually became a fundraising event for Child House Foundation a half-way house for the less fortunate cancer stricken children that are being managed by Mr. Ricky Reyes.

Runway for Hope was successfully staged last Nov. 17, 2012 at the Gateway Suites, Gateway Mall, Cubao, Quezon City with the help and sponsorship of the Bb Pilipinas Charities Incorporated, The Araneta Center, Cibo, Ace Water Spa, RCBC, David's Salon, Ever Bilena, Daisy Soap among others. The Gala Fashion Show was participated by almost twenty five former and reigning Queens of Bb. Pilipinas, Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Tourism Philippines Pageants. Miss Universe Runners-up Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon and Mutya Johanna Datul our newly crowned Miss Supranational 2013 also graced the event as model for the featured Fashion Designers.

With the recent catastrophe that hit the country, the people behind what was supposed to be a one-time school project event, all agreed to stage another Gala Event, from a mere Facebook status of Mr. Francis Calubaquib calling all pageant friends to revive RUNWAY for HOPE  this time for the survivors of the Super Typhoon Yolanda.

Beauty Queens from various National Beauty Pageant heed the call and unite together this year to support Runway for Hope Year 2, A Charity Fashion Gala for the Benefit of Typhoon Yolanda survivors, as a humble contribution of the Philippine Pageant Industry to our suffering countrymen.

The Second Year of Runway for Hope is a collective effort of individuals who share time and resources in order to raise funds and help the calamity stricken areas, Fashion Designers, Events Organizers, Hair and Make-up Artists and Beauty Queens who will serve as models, unite together for this charity event which will be held on December 8, 2013, 6pm at ACE Hotel and Suites, United coner Brixton St., Bgy. Kapitolyo, PasigCity.

Runway for Hope Year 2 is presented by ACE Hotel and Suites, Urban Spoon A taste of Asia, Wensha Spa, Megabild 101, Republic Biscuits Inc. Spice Salon, ATC Health Care, Whoops, Mr. Breinard Bautista of BPYO, and Mr. Ferdinand Abejon.
