Pet Feng Shui no-nonsense fengshui

CEBU, Philippines - Domesticated animals called pets are affected by feng shui, too!  It's the environment that influences their life energies and healthy growth.  From agrarian roots of having pigs, carabaos, even lizards as pets in Asia or other cultures, let us have fun shui about them today!

Animals have extrasensory perception compared to humans.  Scientists call it ultrasonic capability like a radar.  Thus, it is not uncommon to have pets absorb bad luck, or get sick -- even die – in lieu of the owner, as many an oft repeated story in feng shui!  Say, an Arowana fish committed suicide when far off its owner figured in a car mishap like Dolphy's son VanDolph, enabling him to survive.  Arowanas are bruited to be the best feng shui pet, having the widest ultrasonic range!

Scientists claim that pets like dogs and cats at home, normally lie down on the most geopathic stress area or bad feng shui spots of a house!   When I related this to a client's wife about their dog, she scratched her head and replied, "No wonder! Our dog sleeps on our master bedroom bed!"

Thus, cats sleep on the roof or the most uncanny places.  Beware, if they prefer to sleep on your lap!

Now that pets are part of families, let us handle them with humanlike care inclusive of feng shui principles. Turtles are best placed at the North side of a home which symbolizes water element.  Aquariums, ponds, with koi or other fish are best at the East side!

A tricolored cat is deemed a money cat in Japan, in allusion to their fortune cat figurine the Maneki Neku.

Giant arapaima gigas like what the Lopezes have at Meralco pond portend megaluck and protection to the owners!  Lions and tigers like Gov. Chavit Singson's preserve power in politics, but only for politicians!

Over 250 turtle pets in his backyard augur well for Mr. Harley Sy of SM, now group president!  Two mini Volkswagen beetle, like Galapagos turtles in the yard, bring much prosperity to Rex Bookstore owner Mr. Buhain in his garden.  Pet snakes for cockfighting aficionado owners bring luck to gamblers especially when combined with the truly courageous pet turkeys in their cockfarms.

Any fish always symbolizes attracting cash, success and wealth accumulation.  Eight goldfish and a black moor signify success upon arrival, equal to nine koi!

Chinese feng shui advocates keeping pets in odd numbers for odd reasons too.  Positioning of pet fish whether in ponds or aquariums is a closely guarded secret in feng shui.

From pet feng shui derives lucky charm of animal symbology as follows:  bats signify lucky fortunes, birds for happiness, bears as in Japan for protection, crane for long life like the deer, elephants with trunk up for protection, if down, for health!

Fish is for success, as in jumping carps!  It symbolizes educational attainment.  Lions and tigers, panthers for power protection for politicians.  Stork for heredity, fertility. Horse for progress and recognition.  Turtle for career protection and longlife.
