A Tidbit College Life, ZTE's Latest Handsets

University of the Philippines BA Mass Communication III - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - I thought high school was a big headache until I reached college.

College kids like me look forward to October where we have our semestral break. This would mean a break from all things concerning school.

But honestly, before we get to enjoy that needed break, we have to go through a lot of studying and prepare a lot of projects.

"Hey, have you finished your...?" or "What? Our coverage is too long!, sometimes, I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing," are the usual things you hear college students talk about. Semestral break is slightly forgotten, and the focus goes from freedom to torture.

These past few days have been tiring to some (if not all) college students who refer to themselves as  “way tulog”, “way ligo”, “way tarong na kaon.”

Super duper long exams, theses defense, reports, and many more! These are among the many end of term requirements that we have to complete.

These days, you can see us in 24 hour fastfood chains working on our requirements. You may also see us in coffee shops studying. Yes, we can always study at home but then our beds would be there and there is a big possibility that we cannot resist the temptation to sleep, so coffee shops are safer and very much far from temptation. And there is free wifi, too!

These are crazy times, indeed for college students. Hey, some of us really want to pass our subjects, even get good grades.

This is the picture of college life before semestral break. It somehow drains the life out of students, but after all the hardwork - studying and making reports, etc. – is that break. (FREEMAN)
