Russian National Day Marked

On the occasion of the National Day of the Russian Federation, the Ambassador of Russian Federation, H.E. Nikolay R. Kudashev and Mme. Elena Kudasheva, together with the Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Cebu Armi Lopez Garcia, hosted a cocktail reception at the Acacia Room of the Cebu Country Club. Russian nationals and their families were invited to this affair.

At the entrance to the venue, two girls garbed in Russian costumes welcomed guests with Russian bread for them to savor. For curiosity’s sake, our colleagues Nelia Neri and Cookie Newman tried to take a piece, and they found, the bread tasted so good. Then businessman Inting Colina and his wife Lucille followed suit and took the bread with wine.

While cocktails was going on, Ambassador Nikolay R. Kudashev delivered a brief message regarding the presence of a consulate office in Cebu. And he was quite thankful to Honorary Consul Armi Garcia for representing the Russian Federation in Cebu. In response, Consul Armi briefly thanked the Ambassador for hosting the National Day celebration of the Russian Federation in Cebu.

The cocktail “hour” went on and on, even after the program had ended.
