MAC Archie’s Girls Collection

CEBU, Philippines - Betty and Veronica- the names alone are a vivid four-color flashback to an era of sweet, comic book innocence. Their eternal love triangle, with all-American freckle-faced Archie, is legendary in its teen tension, tight sweaters and two-toned saddle shoe charm. Girl-next door blonde Betty vs. vivacious, spoiled rich-girl, brunette Veronica, an epic rivalry, now in two contrasting MAC Colour Collections, packaged in exclusively designed cases.

In Cebu, a private party was held recently to celebrate Betty and Veronica and their comic book rivalry for the affections of Archie. Guests were transported to a jukebox-joint, retro-rocking world where love was in the air. They posed for photo-ops at the kissing booth and hung out with the famous teens from Riverdale High in an afternoon of fun with free-flowing root beer floats, cream soda cocktails, garden and turkey burgers, ring dings and sweet candy hearts. The MAC Cosmetics team was in full force - MAC PR & AR executive Kirsten Brito, marketing executive Rizel Magno, brand coordinator Lesley Guevarra, brand assistant Vanessa Vergara, manager for retail operations Jaycee Matias, resident trainer Owen Sarmiento and Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) operations manager Edilyn Castro. Also flying in for the event were actress Bianca Gonzalez, celebrity makeup artists Jigs Mayuga and Pong Niu and fashion bloggers Camille Co and Laureen Uy. In Cebu, the MAC Cosmetics counter is located in Rustan’s Department Store, Ayala Center Cebu.
