It’s in the name
So you’ve given your child a name, but what does this say about you as a parent? Go on, read below.
You’ve named your child Elvis, Ian, Jagger, Jimmy, Jon, Liam, Nico, Nigel, Sid or Slash. This could mean that you had strict parents yourself and longed to do things that were a bit extreme but have never been rebellious in any way, which is great, of course. Your child could either be an accountant or economics professor or something equivalent. As a parent, you’re hoping or even wishing for your child to be just like you.
The names Atticus, Augustus, Caesar, Constantin, Hadrian and Leopold mean that you want your child to rule, to be powerful or to command. Wonderful isn’t it?
How about James, Jane, Joe, John, Mary and Robert? This can mean that you are grounded and supportive as a parent, one that everyone appreciates. You also wish for your child to develop his or her own personality as opposed to being a photocopy of yourself.
The names Aurora, Clementine, Daisy Evangeline, Florence, Octavia and Savannah can mean that you have a dull name yourself and that you’re too hesitant to give your child a name that is unique.
Then there’s Caroline, Carolyn, Ethel, Jackie, Joan and Rose who are likely JFK or Camelot fans, bet you didn’t even know it!
A little more on the extreme side with names such as Blanket, Blue Ivy, Bronx Mowgli, Moxie Firefighter, Pilot Inspector or Rocky can mean that you as a parent are too famous to listen to others’ points of view. In short, you might not be so realistic and want your child to be the exact same or similar to yourself.
Names such as Alexander, Charles, George, Henry, James, Oliver and William would normally come from parents who want things to run smoothly and want a child to see things through. You child is likely to become a banker or a lawyer or something in similar field.
You are probably one shy parent if you happen to name your child either Amber, Britney, Brittany, Cookie, Roxy or Tiffani, but nothing wrong with that since your child might be destined to not be the shy type and instead become an actor, cheerleader, dancer, pageant winner or even a singer. For some reason, these names are believed to scream “performer†in them! So if you want a performer, you might just get one!
Either having aspirations to royalty, let us guess, your child has Altalune, Arkadina, Arusha, Florence or Rosalind for a name. And you don’t just use one of the names above, but all five of them at once!
Lastly, naming your child Bear Blue, Crow, Lion, Tiger or Wolf can mean that you as a parent are a sensualist who wants to pass on the appreciation for the essentials and necessities in life such as food, sensation, the earth and other physical activities. (Taken from: www.yahoo.com)
