A Christmas Special SM's Christmas Village of Hope

CEBU, Philippines -  Envisioned as a village symbolizing the joyous blessings and atmosphere of the Christmas Season, the Christmas Village of Hope was unveiled at SM City Cebu last November 16. It was a celebration that was matched with the ceremonial lighting of the SM Christmas Tree and Belen located at the Northwing Atrium of the mall.

Originally conceptualized by Clayton and Joji Tugonon, this year's Christmas Village of Hope stands to be bigger in floor size than last year’s, defined by a scale-model layout consisting of miniature houses and community attractions, featuring miniature villages, homesteads, fairs, zoos, marinas, lighthouses, and more.

Primed as a unique fundraiser, each of the miniature structure of the Christmas Village of Hope comes with its own sponsor, its proceeds pledged to Kythe, Inc.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Kythe Inc has been active in Cebu for the past four years, doing its share in helping children with cancer deal with the more costly necessary medical treatments and tests involved in their respective conditions.  (FREEMAN)
