TV5 Launches Radyo 5

INTO THE SCENE - Han Kintanar - The Freeman

Cebu and yes, Central Visayas will now have the first news station in the FM band.  Last November 9, the "Kapatid Network", TV5 launched "Radyo 5 101.9 News FM" in a press conference held at the Summit Circle Hotel. As Radyo 5 takes off, they bring together 3 well-respected lawyers in a morning show dubbed "Frankahay Ta" from Mondays through Fridays and "Tambag Ni Torni" on Saturdays.  I am talking about the very admirable Atty. Frank Malilong, 1982 Bar 8th Placer, Atty. Omar Redula and former Mandaue City Administrator, Atty. Briccio Boholst. The 2 programs will airfrom 5:30 to 9:00AM.  "Frankahay Ta"will be a good mix of news, commentary, editorial, public debate and updates, while "Tambag Ni Torni" will give the listening public a chance to ask for free legal advice on air plus the regular news updates from studio and field reporters.  Judging on how the formidable trio answered questions from media during the presscon, their morning shows would no doubt soar its way up to the charts soon.

Present in the presscon were TV5 execs headed by Raul dela Cruz, Head for Provincial Network Operations, and TV5 Cebu Station Manager Karla Kintanar-Fernandez.  Hosting the program was TV5 News Chief Rosemarie Holganza-Borromeo.  Also there to grace the event were TV5 Manila's David Merin from Marketing Services and Lui Yanoria from Corporate Sales.  Sales and Programming Head Julienne Guanzon and her Sales Assistants Rochel Limaco and Rosslyn Piloton were also around to welcome the guests.
