CEBU, Philippines - Do you have five pieces of notebooks to spare? Or can you afford to donate five notepads to The FREEMAN Foundation for our outreach program in December?
If you want to commit to our “Notebook Campaign,” tell your mommies and daddies that the Foundation welcomes your donation of five notebooks.
This is for our “Christmas with Angels” (Year 8) activity. We will be taking your donations to Barangay Biga in Toledo City, about 50 kilometers away from Cebu City.
You see, early this year, there was a child there (around three years old) who lost an arm. It was so sad that his uncle ran berserk and hurt him in the process. The Foundation would want to visit that child again and hand over goodies for Noche Buena, and some school supplies. Thus, the fund drive and the notebook campaign.
Come October 15, the Foundation core group of community volunteers will be there for an ocular inspection. We will be passing by the mine site or inside the premises of the Carmen Copper Corporation since it is near the upland barangay. We will be catering to some 150 kids, so we have to be sure of their food preference, the size of their shirts and shorts as we will be providing them color-coded outfits on the fun day, and we will also be connecting with the barangay officials, their parents, and their teachers.
Should you wish to share a portion of your savings, tell your teacher or parents to please turn it over personally to our cashier, Ms. Arlene Villacrucis, at the second floor of the Star Group of Companies Building, D. Jakosalem Street corner V. Gullas Street, Cebu City. We don’t have a field representative, so please be aware of unscrupulous individuals who use our Foundation for their own interest!
Tell your parents or guardian that the only office people or point persons allowed to receive donations are the following: Ms. Edizza Wenceslao (Production Dept.) and Ms. Faith Maroto (Circulation Dept.) for the notebooks; as well as Ms. Arlene Villacrucis (Cashier) for both notebooks and cash donation.
Christmas is about giving. Christmas is for children like you. Give love on Christmas Day. (FREEMAN)
