Ingrids 50th Anniversary
One could hear a pin drop when international concert pianist Ingrid Sala Santamaria started to tinkle with the ivory keys of the grand piano at the Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Cebu one beautiful Friday evening. Elegantly garbed in a yellow terno, Ingrid with head high, proud to be the only pianist celebrating 50 years of music, was welcomed with a deafening applause when she gracefully entered the hall. We were so proud of her -- a Cebuano known all over the world as a most versatile pianist, and well-loved too. On this golden anniversary, Ingrid has envisioned this unique combination as her legacy to her niche in Philippine music. Ingrid, this performance was great! Mabuhay!
