Romy's Birthday Bash

Romy Hipolito, a man for all seasons and a friend to so many for all reasons was feted by his family when he returned a year older on his last birthday. Or was he seventyish? His wife Manol, sons Ronald and Robert with grandsons David and Aaron were in dancing attendance.

The dinner musicale, held at the Granada Room of Casino Español had more men than women knowing Romy who once was connected with Insular Life and having golf buddies and Casino E. barkadas. The dinner party started with a Thanksgiving Mass and later a presentation of Cha-Cha and Zumba performed by pencil-slim dancers from Dancesports. Quite an entertainment huh but the guests had fun!

One of the highlights of Marco Polo Plaza's Cebu's Culinary Journey was the presentation of Treasured Recipes which was unveiled to the media by Marco Polo Hotel with two prominent ladies of Cebu - the likes of Teresin Mendezona whose Treasure Recipes Bam-I and Cassava Bibingka was presented while former restaurateur Cristina Ebrada revealed the secrets of her tasty Baked Tahong and Coco Sauce to go with Fish, Crabs and Prawns, and Jessica Avila who is a mainstay of Marco Polo. All the guests enjoyed the tasty and marvelous food plus the usual tremendous Marco Polo's palatable international cuisine.

Silvard Kool, international concert pianist, titillated his audience at Garden Café of Cebu City Marriott Hotel when he tickled the ivory keys with beautiful songs of yesteryears one full moon ago.
