It sounds easy enough: wear at least one thing that is local or locally designed everyday for 30 days. The Postura Project is the brainchild of four local fashionista bloggers who believe in supporting the local fashion scene by launching a website where they would post their Postura Project outfits daily for a month, including a small feature on the local item of the day. One of the best parts of the blog however is that this fab four brought their own individual styles to the table; from advertising creative Knox Balbastro’s “ethnic Pinoy inspired creative work wear” to host/model Sarah Meier’s “trend-free, ghetto fab, minimalist, bohemian” feel.

 Lately, the internet has ushered in a new platform for budding fashionistas and trend-setters, giving them a chance to be heard—or should I say—be seen. Websites like Pose, Lookbook, Polyvore or even the ubiquitous Instagram have brought so many fashion personalities to the forefront and better yet, the brands and designers behind the clothes. With the stage set and the gauntlet thrown, it’s our turn to do our part. Our homegrown talent has grown by leaps and bounds over the past couple of years and has become readily accessible to everyone who is on the lookout for the latest trends with that distinct Filipino flair.
