Human Nature to move to new location

CEBU, Philippines - Social enterprise Human Nature (or Human Heart Nature)'s flagship store outside of Manila will open in Cebu sometime in May, according to its Cebu-Lapu-Lapu branch operator Wilmer Lopez.

This has something to do with moving to a location along the road for improved accessibility, product positioning, and customer care.

The 81-square-meter organic mart will be at The Strip along Osmeña Boulevard (near the Capitol Site).

"It will be a big event for the advocates, as this is a first outside of Manila," Lopez underlined.

The organic mart will also serve as an educational hub for more people to learn that they should "not put on products things they won't put on their skin," Lopez added.

Store interiors are set to highlight nature's nurturing touch, and how "only the good" can be provided by nature.

Human (Heart) Nature products, in the first place, encourage users to "read the label." Consumers are urged to get to know the chemical ingredients to avoid in everyday products such as sodium lauryl sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate, to name a few, in surfactants; triclosan in anti-bacterials like deodorants; phthalates and synthetic parfum in fragrances; diethanolamine in emulsifiers; propylene glycol in solvents; parabens in preservatives; petrolatum and dimethicone in moisturizers; carmine and lake dyes in colorants; and deet in bug repellents.

When formulating beauty and wellness products, Human (Heart) Nature only uses ingredients which can be grown here in the Philippines --- most powerful and effective natural ingredients in the world.

It takes pride in the science that goes into every product formulated by its Natural Care Labs. It is at the cutting edge of research into natural ingredients, some of which it is the first in the world to use, like coco nectar.

Sources of its products like citronella are its organic farms in Kanapawan, Camarines Norte and Libmanan, Camarines Sur; lemongrass farm in Cauayan and Murcia in Negros Occidental; passion fruit and sunflower farm in Catigan, Davao City, to name a few.

Further, the organic mart serves to complement the mission of this social enterprise - that rather than trying to maximize profits like most businesses, it aims to optimize them; bringing safe, pure, world-class beauty and wellness products to more households; and creating impact on the development of more organic livelihood opportunities.

"Because at the end of the day, the simple and the natural are supposed to be relevant," Lopez further said.

Products to watch this year include 100-percent natural hair dye, and a men's line.  (FREEMAN)
