CEBU, Philippines - Over a year ago, Auntie Anne’s, the perfect pretzel, started by Anne Beiler in 1987 at a Maryland Farmer’s market in Maryland, Pennsylvania, opened at the Northwing section of SM Cebu.
The response was simply overwhelming, prompting the franchisees Paula Bondoc, Toto Locsin and Eduard Loop, successful entrepreneurs in several industries and well-respected in the community, to open another branch, this time in Ayala Center, located on the 2nd floor, Active Zone.
As in the first opening, the good-looking actor Richard Gomez was guest of honor. He was joined this time around by the hard-working congresswoman from Ormoc, his lovely wife Lucy Torres.
Lending support to the franchisees were Joe Paris and his son Mikkel of Pretiolas Philippines , the exclusive country developer and master franchise holder of Auntie Anne’s.They were joined by Aunties Anne’s general manager Rene Canlas.
Guests in attendance included Representative Cutie del Mar, Cebu Doctors Hospital owner Jun Larrazabal and his wife Zeny, retirees Tintoy Perdices and Antonio Lozada, architect Tessie Javier and popular media personalities Choy Torralba and Mayen Tan.
Also present were several accomplished executives who by their determination and perseverance have likewise found success in their fields of endeavor. They included hoteliers Jacob and Sarrita Pimentel, restaurateur Paco Jarque, computer whiz Mike Sasnouvski and PR lady Leahliz Sia.
While an Auntie Anne’s Pretzel is shaped like a pretzel and called as such, it is most definitely not just a pretzel. The fresh, sweet taste coupled with a light, bread-like texture offers a little extra: they come in a variety of flavors.
The core product lineup includes original, cinnamon sugar, almond, sour cream and onion, garlic pretzels, along with the pretzel dog.
To complement pretzel selections, the brand has its own famous, old-fashioned, freshly squeezed lemonade. It also has four flavors of dip such as caramel, chocolate, cheddar and cream cheese.
Coffee-lovers can also enjoy its freshly brewed coffee selection of black coffee, cappuccino and latte.
