CEBU, Philippines - Iah Lea Denisse Mabatid Alcuizar (daughter of PinoyCare Visa Center president and chief executive officer Ms. Prisca Niña Mabatid) loves to indulge in shopping for clothes that she mixes and matches so well it becomes a fashion statement.

At 15, she stands five feet and four inches tall - built to fit into a mannequin size. She said she enjoys singing and indulging in sports activities, but above all she loves fashion: Be it wearing it or reinventing it.

Aside from being preoccupied with studies at the Maria Montessori International School, Iah is currently involved in modeling stints for teen clothes and has done shows for several fashion shows. This young girl has set her mind on becoming a part of the glamorous fash scene, not only as a model but more so as a respectable couturier.

She eyes New York City by 2013, as she dreams of pursuing fashion designing.

As early as now, she already has a tag for her future creations under her company name, House of Alcuizar.

On the occasion of her birthday bash last November 29 dubbed "Iah @ 15: Rampage on my birthday," she mounted "Passion for Fashion" featuring pieces from her wardrobe donned by the models of Body Designers of Cebu.

Initially, she did the catwalk in a Jojo Romoff elegant black gown with Shoes by Shandar to match. And then her personal collection, representing young minds, served as eye candy on the platform.

This was followed by a showcase of designs from home-grown couturiers Hanz Coquilla, Jonas Navarro, Alejandro Godinez Jr.; Harvey Cenit, Elmer de Venancio, Lorymer Villareal, Norman Aspiras, Joseph Navales, Jonas Navarro, Manuel Tomaque, and Rey Humberto Villegas.

The birthday girl finally strutted with a skin-tone gown by Philip Tan Rodriguez.  (FREEMAN)
