Carla's Birthday Bash

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO -

Aloha! Welcome to the Luau party for Carla Marie Yeung McKowen. This was printed on the arch built at the island of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort.

In colorful Hawaiian outfits and some grass skits, the guys and dolls of MSY Holdings welcomed their boss Carla and husband Chris upon disembarking from the boat that ferried them from the main Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. The island was fully lighted with Japanese paper lanterns in varied hues that from a distance looked like a cruise ship. The ambiance was just perfect for the cocktails and dinner for Carla.

Yes, the luau dinner bash punctuated the birthday of Carla Marie McKowen, CEO of MSY Holdings. It was hosted by her dear parents Carlos and Kit Yeung. Carla, who is in that interesting stage, was blooming and oh-so-beautiful that evening of her birthday. And better-half Chris, was barraged with congratulations from friends and relations because the couple are forthcoming parents.

Actually, the reason for the dinner celebration was…Carla will be flying to Hong Kong soon and will not be able to join the MSY Holdings staff during their Christmas party since she would be staying there until after the delivery of her baby expected to arrive January 8. So, their CEO will be away for three months.

Anyways, after Carla blew the candle on her cake, she released 40 hot air balloons that dotted the moonless sky over Mactan strait. It was beautiful while it lasted. But as soon as the balloons reached midair, they disappeared into thin air.

Since the time specified was 6-10pm only, everyone had to leave the island back to the main for their trip back to the city. From all the guests, they can only thank Carlos and Kit for hosting that wonderful luau party!
