Sweaty and Wet

CEBU, Philippines - Well, as this is my so-called comeback after a so- called hiatus, let me rewind and replay some of the noteworthy events of the past months. Yes, July turned out to be one of the hottest month ever recorded, August’s occasional rains may have cooled some days a little bit but nevertheless it was all sweaty and wet to summarize.

Proving that flip-flops aren’t just a summer trend, the annual Make Your Own Havaianas had another successful run swooping in its avid patrons at the SM City Northwing Atrium. With “Travel in Personalized Style” as the sixth theme, the venue was turned into an airport terminal by Detalia Aurora. Havaianaticos, as we are called, certainly enjoyed the journey and fun as we got to splash our own creativity with the popular footwear. Obrigado, Havaianas!

While the August rains were almost non-stop, the events around town were even more than just enough to drown me and Cebu’s hardcore party-goers to euphoria and well, in my case, absolute exhaustion. Let the photos do the talking. Whew!
