Aboitizland To Launch Resort-Themed Community

CEBU, Philippines - AboitizLand, Inc. has announced the launching of its first resort-themed vertical community, a low-density, mid-rise development, in early fourth quarter 2011.

The village, another first of its kind in Cebu, takes full advantage of the refreshing tropical breezes at its location on the Cebu City-Mandaue City border in Canduman, within a few minutes' drive from the major business, commercial and recreational centers, schools and places of worship.

The new project, Hanaya, is planned to host verdant landscaping in expansive open spaces, more-than-the-usual amenities and uniquely-designed residential buildings, giving vecinos (Spanish for neighbors; AboitizLand's term for its clients, homeowners) the relaxed, vacation-like ambiance in their own homes.

Hanaya is a fusion of the Visayan term for comfort and convenience, hayahay, and the Japanese hanayo or a world of flowers. The name reflects the fresh environment of the community.

Hanaya is a 5.2-hectare development with an open space to building footprint ratio of 70:30, Cebu's highest yet. It is the ideal getaway within the city - where everyday is a weekend.

The village offers verdant landscaping in expansive open spaces and more-than-the-usual amenities - free form and lap pools for the adults and a separate pool for children, children's playgrounds, an open basketball court, fitness trails, an expansive garden and barbeque stations.

In stark contrast to the busy atmosphere of the city, Hanaya is a landmark project in condominium development for its obvious preference for space - lots of it. Every level of the six-storey condominium structures hosts merely sixteen residences each having a balcony looking out into the amenities below. Every unit's front door looks down into the building's atrium.

The atrium gives Hanaya a distinctly airy and light atmosphere eliminating the boxed-in feel of opening into the neighboring unit's front door. Corridors and units are also naturally illuminated at daytime.

AboitizLand Sales Manager Grace Lepiten disclosed that a typical Hanaya unit features two bedrooms and a single toilet and bath, kitchen, dining and living areas in a generous 44 square meter space, an ideal home for resident young families and singles, or frequent vacationers.
