Heartfelt Thanks

I never planned on having a birthday bash. And to reach another milestone in my life is so overwhelming. My telephone line was so busy with calls and greetings last June 19, which was also the day of Dr. Jose Rizal’s 150th birthday. The 41st District of Quota International, Inc. held its 17th District Conference at the Apo View Hotel in Davao City. The Cebu Quotarians who attended the conference were Pinky Shan (president), Loreta Calderon, Jojin Patalinghug, Malu Veloso, Baby Pansoy, Baby Abatayo and Laurie Suening.

The Catholic Women’s League of Cebu held its graduation ceremony for the year 2011 at the CWL Headquarters located along Legaspi St. The program started with a Holy Mass celebrated by Archbishop Jose S. Palma. After the Mass was the graduation ceremony followed by a processional with the graduates of 62nd Tailoring class, 61st Dressmaking class, 59th Culinary Arts and Cosmetology class and the 54th Industrial Sewing Machine Operation. The CWL Archdiocesan officers for the year 2010-2012 are: Elisita D. Alberio, president; Fredesvinda Y. Biore, first vice president; Beatriz M. Cabangca, second vice president; Gloria R. Bacalso, secretary; Maria Bella D. Dizon, assistant secretary; Adoracion G. Niñal, treasurer; Tita K. Ong Cabahug, assistant treasurer; Clarita G. Tumulak, auditor; Rosalia B.
