1st PFDS Cebu province chapter Echo dance workshop

CEBU, Philippines - The 1st Philippine Folk Dance Cebu Province Chapter Echo Dance Workshop will be held at the Consolacion covered court on July 16 and 17, 2011 and at the Badian covered court on July 30 and 31, 2011.

This activity aims to address the needs and concerns of teachers of folk dance education and folk dance production, as well as the local government units of the different municipalities and component cities of Cebu Province with regards to the importance of the knowledge of folk dance linked to the production of different festival presentations. It also aims to develop better understanding of and appreciation for Filipino traditions in dance and music.

The participants to this activity are teachers in all levels, dancers, members of dance groups, dance trainers, those in-charge of dance groups, directors, choreographers and interested LGU tourism, cultural affairs officers and festival organizers.

A registration of eight hundred pesos to include handouts, kits, t-shirt, bag, and cd for teachers and LGU officers and five hundred pesos for students.
