CEBU, Philippines - We can already feel the energy outside Mariner’s Court last May 7 and besides the gratuitous flow of San Miguel light, the ladies and the gentlemen were already ready to be incandescent for the night’s Black Light Costume Ball. DJ Patrick Rizarri made an appearance and entertained house music devotees while prizes were given away to the lucky people who had longer limbs to stretch and covet those myPhones and tshirts. Incometh Moony when the clock struck past midnight and suddenly this concert was held accountable for everyone’s unintelligible screams of elation buckling over in suppressed joy.
And Moony? She’s the entire concert. She sang, danced, cooed, swayed, gyrated and transported us back to the days in the 90s when we were playing Dove in repeat mode until our CDs wore out. Like a lamp that emits electromagnetic radiation in soft ultraviolet rays, Moony indulged us with her hits from For Your Love to Lifestories with hits like Flying Away, Acrobats, Point of View and even All I Want from Angelmoon heydays.
We were drunk with love! Thank you Club Radio, Paolo Mendoza and Cebu, that had been the barometer of a really good week!
