Summer in the US and in Latin America

- Joe C. Recio -

CEBU, Philippines - Congressman Eddie Gullas with his ever loving wife Norma “Mingming” Selma-Gullas were on their annual vacation at their palatial home in Downey, California. They also visited their lovely daughter Tonet, grandson J.R. Cuasito and their lovable great grandson Ton-Ton at San Francisco. The family had an enjoyable time together when they all went to Disneyland in Los Angeles, had their shopping at South Coast Plaza and after two days, went back to San Francisco while Congressman Eddie Gullas proceeded back to the Philippines.

Mingming has another trip to Santiago, Chile with her cousin Conchita Stewart and Sonia Cabrera, secretary of husband Eddie. They were welcomed by Ambassador of Chile Consuelo Puyat Reyes. The group made a tour of the Philippine Embassy and they were later honored by a Chilean dinner. Mingming toured the beautiful City of Santiago, went shopping and dined at fabulous restaurants. She was also invited by Thelma Castillo for her birthday celebration. Castillo is a Philippine Embassy staff member.

Mingming also went to Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was warmly welcomed at Philippine Embassy in Argentina. It was her dream come true to visit Argentina and the famous Evita Peron Palace of Casa Rosada. Mingming enjoyed Street Tango dancing, as she is a dance aficionado and she is an accomplished dancer!

It was a great vacation this summer for the Gullas couple. (FREEMAN)
