Sky Extreme Adventure

CEBU, Philippines - Prepare for more extreme adventures as Sky Experience Adventure opens its first phase of another set of highly enticing activities - the Sky Extreme Adventure.

Activities that allure thrill-seekers and those ready to be daring are now open, as confirmed by project consultant Rick Cole (JRock Adventure and Brain Maze of Redmond, Oregon) who specializes on such kind of adventure park setups.

He called on extreme adventure buffs to:

• Try the world’s first urban Tower Zip, the next step in bringing the “extreme” to modern-day zip lines. With eight breathtaking seconds, one can zip across two buildings, 250 feet away from each other.

• Another exciting ride is the Sky Lift - the first ever motorized zip line in the Philippines. One can sit and relax as he/she enjoys the ride from the base of the Sky Extreme Adventure at 461 feet off the ground.

•The Paramount Climbing Wall is also another activity that will give guests that heightened feeling of being on top. One can climb a 32-foot wall placed atop of a 40-story building and experience the thrill.

• The sky disco café – The Dimension - is also open. It’s a one-of-a-kind sky disco café poised some 485 feet above the ground. The Dimension offers an incredible view, great music, tasty snacks, refreshments, and a place to dance or just kick back and chill with your friends.

The Sky Experience Adventure caters to all ages, as there are different activities for different ages.

“Edge Coaster appeals more to the thrill seekers,” said Edward Tan, creative director of the Corporate Communications Department - Crown Regency Hotels and Resorts. “If you want a ‘milder’ adventure, then it’s Skywalk for you. Our oldest skywalker was about 80 years old.”

“Most of the local guests here are walk-ins. Some from Manila get the package with the rides we call Sky Adventours. We make our presence strong also on the website and also on social community networks. But the best advertising really is the word of mouth. People talk about their experience after coming here,” he added.

“It’s either they try or they don’t do it. Most people go up with ride already paid. So far, nobody has chickened out. It’s just a case of who shouted (or shrieked) longer and louder,” Tan said in reply to the question on how they have motivated the acrophobics.

As for rates, he assured they have already adjusted to make the daring experience accessible to more adventure freaks. “After guests experience everything, they think what they paid for was priceless,” Tan further said.
