Easter Egg fun at Beverly Hills
CEBU, Philippines - Some friends and I wanted to reunite our kids for the summer, and what better way than in an Easter egg hunt to give them some fun? So we asked the help of three art teachers, Ivy Concha, Keth Chavez and Marwella Garces, to make the afternoon not only energy-filled but creative, too. We had a potluck Easter Egg Hunt at Beverly Hills Multi-Purpose Hall last April 14 at 4pm. Some of us brought plastic chairs and tables, others brought ice cream & cakes, I brought in drinks and other needed items as my mom-in-law lived next door.
We believe that Easter Egg hunts in big hotels and subdivisions are ideal only for bigger kids. The smaller ones end up crying as they are usually overtaken by the older kids in the bunch, being too slow or too shy to run around. Even the “yayas” join in the scramble. Hence, a group of us decided that we come up with an Easter Egg hunt ideal for our kids’ age group. Our efforts were well worth the try as we saw the glowing faces of our little ones as they lined up for their prizes after they gathered the eggs.
It was a memorable pre-Easter activity for all our little ones. Hope you will come up with your own Easter Egg hunt in your neighbourhood to afford younger kids the simple fun of hunting Easter eggs. Believe me, it’s worth all the effort!
Happy Easter to all the Kidstuff readers.
