ARTLINKS JOURNEY - Michaed Dax G. Barlaan -

For eight years, the Biokinetics Dance Club of the University of Cebu Main Campus has successfully produced competent MAPEH educators who are now serving various colleges, secondary and elementary schools of Cebu and the rest of Region 7 and other provinces.

A grand production showcase serves as a culminating activity for the BDC. For this year's program, the other groups of the UC College of Education banded together to present a two-hour musical journey to a full packed SM Cebu Event Center last March 13.

The 12 groups of the Special Topic 1 (Multicultural Classrooms) classes of Mr. Nimor provided the near-authentic tableaux of rituals, dances and pageants. There were also performances by the MAPEH 1 Ukulele and Percussions Ensemble, UC Rondalla, UC Symphonic Orchestra and the SPED 14 Ukulele Ensemble.

The alumni, as a sort of reunion, took time out to perform for the show. MAPEH/PEHM graduates long before the BDC was organized also graced the affair, as well as Sinulog Foundation, Inc. project director Dolores Suzara. (FREEMAN)
