Rotary club of Cebu raises P400K for C.I.T.E. scholars

CEBU, Philippines - Recent fund-raisers like the Rotary Fellowship Golf enabled Rotary Club of  Cebu to fund scholars from its flagship projects like the streetchildren and  remedial education programs to the Center for Technical Education in Talamban.  Ruben Laraya and Roy Zapata, administrators received the P400K check from RCC Pres. Jose Soberano at a simple turnover over lunch recently.  CITE  has  provided valuable high  level technical courses all on pure  scholarship to thousands of  needy but  bright students  since 1994  when the institute was established with the help of Italian benefactors.  Now  many Cebuano corporate as well as private benefactors  fully support the program through   permanent endowments.
