Fireworks at Monterrazas de Cebu

To celebrate the Sinulog, the most celebrated festival in the country, Monterrazas de Cebu hosted an outdoor picnic with fireworks display for its land owners, prospective buyers and guests last January 8 at the community's newly built guardhouse, gate and rotunda.

In Sinulog fashion, guests were treated to a remarkable performance by the San Diego Dancers as the early evening sky lit up with a spectacular fireworks display. Managing director of Genvi Development Corp. Atty. Dindo Perez welcomed the guests and joined in revelry. The intimate occasion gave buyers the opportunity to experience Monterrazas de Cebu by night and see the beautiful view of the city and enjoy the cool evening breeze.

Various institutions expressed support for the Operation Smile Charity Run set on February 20. The run will have 1.6 k, 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k categories with the start and finish line at Asiatown IT Park. Proceeds will support Operation Smile Cebu Mission Year 14, which will kick off the following day, February 21 at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center. Operation Smile provides free reconstructive surgery to correct cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.

Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia and Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama will be supporting the event. Organizers present during the launch were Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, MSY Foundation Board of Directors Bunny Pages and Dr. Vivina Chiu and Runcheck Founder and Race Director Kenneth Casquejo. Congressman Benhur Salimbangon and Radisson Blu Hotel General Manager Grant Gaskin were also in attendance.

To support MSYCFI's advocacy, Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu offered to house the volunteer doctors of the Operation Smile Cebu from Manila and the United States of America. They will also be joining the charity run.
