Birthdays Galore

Virginia “Virgie” Costales was honored with a birthday shindig by her children Allan, Carmela, Alice, Albeth and Lenlen last December 4.  Held at the Madrid Room of Casino Español de Cebu, Mama Gie, known to her hordes of friends as “Queen of Palabok” had The Sixties as the motif of her birthday party.  Mama Gie was wearing a Leonardo Igloria outfit. After the sumptuous dinner, she cut her birthday cake baked by daughter Alice. And this was followed with everyone dancing to their heart’s content.

Mama Gie, as usual, was the belle of the ball, and she was the happiest girl when she celebrated her 76th birthday! To Mama Gie, may God bless you with more beautiful birthdays to come!

And speaking of birthdays, Belinda Wong, young and pretty wife of businessman Ahoy Wong, marked her milestone last December 19 and had dinner with family and friends. But the most significant thing she did on her birthday was—she fed some 300 indigents with lunch of puso, pork and chicken adobo, cup cakes with juices and candies for the children, while Mama Gie and Fer gave bread as extra for the older ones. Praise the good Lord for Belinda who has a soft spot in her heart for the less fortunate. May her tribe increase!
