Bobby Joseph celebrates life

- Honey Jarque Loop -

CEBU, Philippines - Bobby Joseph, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia to the Philippines is passionate in everything he does. Involved in travel, several civic and education organizations, he takes his responsibilities to heart.  A wine connoisseur, he loves the good life.

To mark a lifetime of blessings and gratitude he recently threw a birthday party to honor all the  special people in his life.

To celebrate his milestone, Bobby, together with his charming wife Ida, their children Robbi, Richard, America based daughter Riza, and youngest son River, hosted an exquisite Japanese dinner  at the popular  Tsukuji  Restaurant of the Century Park Hotel.

It began with Japan’s national tipple sake, often called the drink of the gods, after which guests moved toward the sumptuous appetizer spread that had the soothing and healthy Miso soup and every imaginable sushi roll seasoned with a sweet vinegar mixture.

On the other end was the buffet table that had more Japanese specialties which included hot pot dishes, deep fried pork cutlets, grilled chicken on skewers, soya beans such as tofu and miso, tempura,  and for long life, noodles served with meat, vegetables, and ginger.

The evening brought together dear relatives  and close  friends. Among the many well wishers were Ida’s parents, the much respected doctor  Ponciano Manalo and his ageless  partner for life, Milagros. Bobby’s brothers were in attendance, as well. Ralph was with his wife Babot, Ronnie with Melissa and Raymond with Reggie.

Also present were  Jaime  Bautista,  president and Chief Executive Officer of Philippine Airlines, Chito Castillo who flew in from San Francisco, the celebrant’s cousin Johnny Midnight Joseph, Nonoy and Ditas Yuhico and Melanie and Romy Chan.

The night’s piece de resistance was the fabulous performance by the Prince of Sax, the dashing and talented  Michael Young who mesmerized one and all with his rendition of Broadway and classical favorites.

After much toasting and feasting, Bobby capped the night by blowing out his birthday cake candles surrounded by his loved ones. This endearing event was another perfect celebration which etched  lovely memories guests are certain  to treasure for a long, long  time.
