CEBU, Philippines - SM City Cebu’s joyful Christmas celebration kicked off last Saturday at the Northwing Atrium with a performance from the University of Cebu Chorus, University of Cebu Chorus Alumni, University of Cebu Chorus Children’s Choir, University of Cebu High School Glee Club, and the University of Cebu Nursing Banilad. The 250-member choir dished out Christmas carols together with the Peace Philharmonic String Quartet, and a ballet performance from Ballet Center. SM Supermalls all over the country gathered more than 10,000 voices to join the simultaneous singing of the SM Christmas Jingle.
The event highlight was the ceremonial lighting of the Enchanting Christmas Trees with Councilor Margot Osmeña. Luke Mijares, together with the University of Cebu Chorus sang the Christmas ChriSMs Bop which is the official Christmas jingle of SM Supermalls. Santa Claus brought Christmas cheers to the street children under the care of Cebu City Task Force on Street Children towards the end of the program.
