Preview Magazine's Crystal Anniversary Party in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - It is all about Cebu this October as the team behind Preview Magazine flew down south to celebrate their 15th Anniversary last October 16 in not just one but two parties. To start the night on the right foot, Havaianas Philippines hosted an intimate cocktail party for a select few at Maya Tequila Bar.

Dazzling Cebuanos were decked out in their crystal-inspired ensembles made by some of the country’s finest designers like Jun Escario, Cary Santiago, Arcy Gayatin, Kate Torralba, Edwin Ao, Yvonne Quisumbing, and Vania Romoff. Havaianas Philippines Managing Director Anne Gonzalez with the ladies of A.L. Amizade, Leanne Florendo and Aimil Sarmiento, the exclusive sub-distributor of Havaianas in Central and Eastern Visayas, made this pre-event cocktail the most vibrant party scene in this side of the country.

Penthouse morphed into a factory of bling and crystals as the exclusive afterparty housed almost 800 of Cebu’s creme de la creme. Although Preview cover Cebuana Kim Chui was not present that night, the rest of Cebu’s fashionable lot went bling overboard and celebrated with the editors of Preview Magazine along with celebrities Georgina Wilson, Borgy Manotoc, Isabelle Daza, Bea Soriano, Liz Uy, Bianca Gonzales and Raymond Gutierrez.

“It is no secret that Cebu has always been a hotbed of design talent,” says editor-in-chief of Philippine fashion authority Preview, Pauline Suan, ”So this month, we mine the wealth of new fashion designers in the province.” The fashion magazine that has become women’s monthly style bible honed on the talent brimming in Cebu with a special Preview Prefers section to the ”movers and shakers of Cebu’s artistic community,” as Suan calls them.

The Preview 15th Anniversary was co-presented by Canon, and was sponsored by Havaianas and Smart, with Penthouse, Radisson Blu Hotel, Star World and also to A-List Events. “Thank you to the 700 or so who came decked out in crystal and partied with us,” said Cybill Gayatin of A-List Events. “Til the next one, Cebu!”

Again, that is how parties in Cebu are done.
