Hot House of Holland

-

CEBU, Philippines - Henry Holland’s latest masterpiece is definitely both sophisticated and glamorous at best. It’s youthful, quirky, and fun details are a breath of fresh air. His work brings us to the bursts of colour common in the 70s and 80s, leading the MAC group to complement this get up with a set of dewy bronzed complexions that make the decades in spotlight glow with a renewed sense of vibrancy.

Lucia Pica of MAC describes the look as taking a heavy inspiration from Brooke Shields of Blue Lagoon, albeit with a strong concentration on the cheeks. With the focus more on the cheeks, the rest of the elements of the face were played down.

1. Mix together MAC Pro Longwear Concealer and Studio Moisture Fix Foundation, then sheer onto the skin.

2. Mix MAC Pro Pigment in Neo Orange with Gesso Eye shadow and apply the mist to the apples of the cheeks (the fattest parts of the cheek), blending out towards the nose.

3. Up the intensity by applying MAC’s Frankly Scarlet Powder Blush to the centre of the cheek.

4. Apply some Medium Dark Mineralized Skinfinish Natural over the base to warm up the skin and blend out the blush.

5. Pat some MAC Clear Lip Conditioner onto the lips and with the Impeccable Brow Marker, sketch through the brows in an upward motion.

So, what’s taking the seasons so long? Bring in Spring, STAT! (With reference from MAC and Fashionising) (THE FREEMAN)
