Bavarian foodfest at the Marco Polo

INTO THE SCENE - Han Kintanar -

In the spirit of Oktoberfest, the 10-day Bavarian Foodfest at the Cafe Marco of the Marco Polo Hotel Cebu kicked-off last October 1 with a media launch. The 10-day culinary journey, which will end tomorrow, features the best of Bavarian cuisine by guest Chef Dietmar Dietrich and Marco Polo Cebu Executive Chef Luke Gagnon.

Guest of honor was no less than German Consul Dr. Franz Seidenschwarz, Chef Dietrich and Marco Polo Hotel Cebu General Manager Hans Hauri did the opening ceremonies at the entrance of Cafe Marco. Mr. Hauri donned a typical Bavarian costume which truly impressed all of the invited guests and the regular diners, as well.

Assorted German sausages, warm pretzels with liverwurst, authentic Frankfurters meat pies and sauerkraut, roast pork knuckles, weisswurst, rheinischer, sauerbraten, are just some of the specialties Chef Dietmar prepared for the spread.

Do drop by today or tomorrow for lunch or dinner and experience another culinary journey at the Marco Polo and have a gastronomic feast like I did! Cheers!
