Yves Identify Turns Neon Chic!

CEBU, Philippines - Have you been Identifyd yet? Here’s your chance to suit yourself in 80s form – yvestyle!

Yves Identify, junior designer Yves Camingue’s ready-to-wear line, will present its pre-Holiday 2010 collection dubbed as “Scuave” on August 27, 6PM, as part of Y101’s Bootleg Gold Live 3 party.

Turning “Neon 80s” this year, Bootleg Gold Live 3 sets to turn The Sandtrap into a glowing-neon-lights parade filled with live mannequins, bright 80s-inspired visuals and a time machine slash concert hall reliving the greatest eras of Classic Rock, the 70s, 80s and 90s. With live performances from Cebu’s top classic rock acts, Johnnie (formerly Johnnie and the Walkers), and Bootleg Gold Live staple, UK Lily, it’s set to be a night of memories and music reminiscent of the devil-may-care era.

According to Identify designer Yves Camingue, the collection takes cues from “Kraftwerk music, Steve Strange and Visage & Boy George infused with the sleekness of aquatic sports.” But expect no overt version of the decade as the 20-piece collection of separates and dresses stylishly rest on contemporary shape and possesses the brand’s cosmopolitan cleverness and feminine suaveness that’s sought-after by the new generation and adult set. Men’s 80s-inspired looks won’t be outdone too and promise fun-chic values. Expect to see a version of the “Zoot suit”, neo-leather, accessories from up-coming brand DSKNKT (“disconnect”) and of course, flashes of neon!

Svelte beauties from AD Models Homme et Femme shall parade and will be dolled up Visage-style by Romero Vergara.

The garments from this collection will be available right after the show and interested parties who wish to have reproductions will also be entertained and accepted.
