D' Beauty Wonderland Opens
The blessing and grand opening rites of another business establishment, D’ Beauty Wonderland Hair & Beauty Salon located at 281-A Don Mariano Cui St. Capitol Site, was held recently.
The new and elegant beauty salon is owned by the lovely Daisy Gazelle A. Mabanto. The beauty salon is clean and hygienic with combs, scissors, brushes and manicure equipment fully sterilized after each use.
Rev. Fr. Randy Edaño led the blessing rites. Among the guests were Dr. Adrian de los Reyes with his mother Dr. Pinda Luz de los Reyes, Jevemiah Gregorio, Airene Gregorio, Geline Turno, and The FREEMAN’s Flor Ynclino, Joe Recio and Quennie Bronce.
The salon uses imported products from Italy, Germany, Paris, USA, Taiwan, as well as Philippine-made products in most of the services they offer. More power, Daisy!

The surprise birthday dinner of Don Smith which was hosted by his loving wife Baby Capada Smith, held at the Casino Español de Cebu turned out well. The party was organized by Betty P. Young. Baby is a balikbayan from Florida, USA. The guests enjoyed ballroom dancing to the tune of lively beautiful music.

Angelita Dy & Bernadette Jingco of Grand Hope Ventures Ltd, in cooperation with the University of Cebu will be holding the International Culinary Congress (ICCON) 2010 this coming October 7 to 9 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino.
The speakers include: F&B Managers Association in Singapore president Hai Poh Cheong who will discuss the practice of Food & Beverage; Shatec Institute Singapore Executive Chef Matthew Yim will handle a short course on Hospitality Management and Catering; Pages Holdings Inc. (mother company of Thirsty and Moon Café) Chief Executive Officer Manuel Pages will talk about Effective Brand Marketing; European Cultural Chef Erwin Jason Cruz who will tackle about Gourmet Food Styling; Waterfront Hotel Group Pastry Chef Gabriel Garcia will talk about cake and pastry styling; Belcris Foods Executive Chef Dietmar Dietrich will speak on sausage making; Chef and food stylist Eugene Raymundo will talk about Food Styling and Genie Arambulo with Chef Eugene will talk about techniques on food and lighting and photography.
Student competitions will also be held during the congress such as napkin folding, fruit and vegetables carving, dress a cake, 3-tier cake, artistic bread showpiece, chef relay and the deans and chairman showdown to promote camaraderie among participating schools.
The event is held in partnership with Nestle Philippines and the University of Cebu HRM Events Management class.
