SM City Cebu's Santacruzan

INTO THE SCENE - Han Kintanar -

Once again, SM City Cebu in partnership with Clothes for Life Foundation presented another successful Santacruzan at the atrium of the Northwing. Considered to be the biggest Santacruzan this year, some 53 designer members of Clothes for Life Foundation dressed up 53 prominent ladies of the metro.

The Santacruzan is an annual event of SM City Cebu and, as expected, it was very well-attended. This year’s Reina Emperatriz is former Mutya ng Pilipinas Rosario Antoinette “ChaCha” Relaiza-Rama with Binibining Pilipinas World 2006 Anna Maris Igpit as Reina Elena. Stunning as ever, ChaCha looked every inch an epitome of beauty with her equally beautiful gown by no less than the much-celebrated Cary Santiago who also happens to be the president of Clothes for Life Foundation. Ana, on the other hand, caught everyone’s attention in a Philip Rodriguez masterpiece.

Some of the noticeable zagalas were: Angel Luzano as Reina de los Martires, Melissa Basubas as Reina de los Angeles, Elvira Stehr as Reina Magdalena, April Rose Duenas as Reina Caridad, Fern Medequillo as Reina Esperanza, Jo Alburo as Reina de las Confesores and Stephanie Señires, to name a few.

Ternos of former Reina Emperatrizes were on display at the Northwing with portraits of this year’s reinas. The beautiful reinas paraded starting from the Trade Hall and converged at the Northwing area. Sharing their impressive and exceptional voices were Cebu’s pride, Raki Vega and soprano Charrie Vidal who serenaded everyone that afternoon.
